Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant in Portland, OR to maintain standard costing, inventory valuation, and COGS reporting. The role collaborates with Operations and FP&A to drive cost efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a willingness to work onsite three days per week with up to 10% travel. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of five years of standard cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, inventory accounting, and COGS analysis.
• Strong knowledge of variance analysis and month-end close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency for complex data analysis.
• Experience with ERP standard costing and inventory systems (Oracle/SAP preferred).
• SOX controls understanding and audit support experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Onsite in Portland, OR at least three days per week; travel up to 10%.

Responsabilités

• Maintain standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS, and gross margin reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, price variances, inventory revaluations, scrap costs, and obsolete reserves.
• Lead standard cost updates and annual cost resets for new products.
• Partner with FP&A to prepare monthly gross margin analysis and COGS forecasting.
• Calculate customer rebates and ensure accurate rebate accruals.
• Monitor cycle counts and support physical inventories.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure SOX compliance and support audits.
• Collaborate with operations on productivity and process improvements.
