Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a manufacturing company in Batesville, AR to recruit a Cost Accountant/Staff Accountant for a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in general accounting and some cost accounting exposure, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong general accounting skills including general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.
• GAAP understanding and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, manufacturing cost rates, inventory, cost centers, and bills of materials.
• Maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare annual budgets, customer shipment forecasts, and monthly financial analysis reports.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset records, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing, customer account reconciliations, and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations, verify deposits, and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with annual audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
• Support accounting system maintenance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
