Job summary

Sensaria in Morrisville, NC, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team. This hybrid role supports standard costing, inventory accuracy, and cost analysis across production facilities, partnering with Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain to drive measurable improvements.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in accounting or finance and 4+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and SAP B1 familiarity. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of cost accounting concepts, including standard costing, inventory, BOMs, and variances.
• Experience working with ERP systems; SAP B1 experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing inventory transactions, product costing, or backflush environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and analyze standard costs and related costing data.
• Support the creation, review, and maintenance of bills of materials (BOMs) and product costing structures.
• Analyze purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead, volume, mix, and other manufacturing variances.
• Investigate significant or unusual cost variances to identify root causes and communicate findings.
• Analyze product costs, inventory activity, and manufacturing data to identify trends and costing issues; collaborate with operations to improve costing accuracy.
• Support monthly inventory and cost accounting close activities and journal entries.
