Job summary

The Bolton Group is seeking a seasoned cost accountant to lead cost accounting, absorption costing, overhead rate analysis, and margin analysis in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure accurate inventory costing using moving averages and partner with manufacturing teams to deliver precise data.

You will support financial reporting and drive process improvements across two manufacturing entities, while engaging with senior leadership on strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CMA certification or strong pursuit of CMA required.
• 5–10 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing or related industries.
• Experience with SAP and Syspro ERP; strong MS Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and analyze cost accounting functions, including absorption costing, overhead rates, and margin analysis

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CMA Certification or strong desire to obtain CMA (must-have)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in cost accounting within manufacturing or related industries
• Proficiency in cost accounting methods: absorption costing, overhead rate calculation, margin analysis, inventory costing, and moving average costing
• Experience working with SAP and Syspro ERP systems; strong MS Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with SAP software
• Exposure to multi-company manufacturing environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Extensive cost accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing companies

Compensation:

• $95,000 - $115,000 plus discretionary bonus (based upon experience)
• Every Friday Afternoon Off (except during close and year-end audit)
• 100% 401-K Match up to 6% (Immediate Vesting)
