Job summary

RRD is seeking a Cost Accountant for a hybrid role, three days on site and two days remote. You will maintain general ledger accounts, prepare profit and loss, balance sheet statements, and perform cost analyses across divisions.

Responsibilities include monthly financials, journal entries, depreciation records, variance analysis, and assisting with operating budgets and special projects. Excellent communication and quick learning of software are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Problem-solving skills with proven solutions.
• Consistent timely and accurate outcomes with guidance.
• Ability to apply established processes with guidance for non-routine issues.
• Proficiency with Windows/Mac or other relevant tools.
• Ability to quickly learn specialized software as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial information using applicable support systems.
• Prepare journal entries, code invoices/vouchers, reconcile the balance sheet, and analyze variances.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records.
• Review and reconcile receivables and recommend accruals.
• Perform basic analyses of cost records to determine cost distribution across divisions.
• Classify labor, material, and overhead costs to compute unit costs of products or services.
• Analyze actual costs versus standard costs and prepare variance reports.
• Compile cost data for operating budget preparation.
• Prepare other reports and assist with special projects and analysis as requested by supervisor.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
