Post Consumer Brands, a Post Holdings, Inc. business unit, is seeking an Accountant in Lakeville, MN (Hybrid: onsite 3 days/week). The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls within corporate accounting.

You will own assigned accounting processes, drive process improvements, and partner with colleagues across the organization to support business operations. Reports to the Accounting Manager and participates in audits and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards or another ERP system is preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Prepare journal entries and support the monthly financial close process.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, related analyses, and investigate outstanding items or discrepancies.
• Perform daily accounting activities, including reviewing bank activity, processing payment requests, and supporting routine accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to requests.
• Prepare tax-related schedules and other financial reporting support as needed.
• Document procedures and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to provide backup support and ensure deadlines are met.
• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
