Manderley Health Center in Osgood, IN is hiring a Hybrid Cook / Dietary Aide to support both kitchen preparation and resident meal service in a skilled nursing facility. The role combines cooking and dietary assistance in a caring environment.

The position offers full-time hours, a 6am–7pm schedule with 3 days per week and every other weekend, and a pay rate of $15/hour. Relevant healthcare or food service experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred
• Culinary school a plus but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Cook: Prepare and cook meals per menus and diet orders
• Cook: Follow recipes and portion control
• Cook: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Cook: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
• Cook: Coordinate meal production and serving times
• Dietary Aide: Assist with meal service and tray delivery
• Dietary Aide: Help plate and serve meals promptly and attractively
• Dietary Aide: Clean worktables, surfaces, carts and dining areas
• Dietary Aide: Support the cook with prep work and requests
• Dietary Aide: Return dirty dishes and ensure sanitation

Responsibilities Include:

As a Cook:

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and diet orders

• Follow standard recipes and portion control procedures

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils

• Coordinate meal production and serving times

As a Dietary Aide:

• Assist with meal service and tray delivery

• Help plate and serve meals in a timely and attractive manner

• Clean worktables, kitchen surfaces, carts, and dining areas

• Support the cook with prep work and special requests

• Return dirty dishes to the dishwashing area and ensure sanitation standards are met

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Prior food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred
