General Motors is seeking a Controls Software Engineer – Energy Source Control to join the EPSI group. This hybrid role supports low voltage power generation, energy storage, and power management across GM’s vehicle portfolio.

The role focuses on developing and validating embedded C/C++ controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering robust, compliant software for EVs, ICEs, and future platforms.

Formación

• BS in Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in embedded controls, calibration, integration, or software development.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python.
• Understanding of embedded controls development and delivery processes, including SAFE/Agile.
• Experience with embedded controls test assets (SIL, HIL, Vehicle) and tools such as INCA and MDA.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and implementation of controls for complex low voltage features in embedded C/C++.
• Contribute to feature elaboration into work items with clear acceptance criteria.
• Support calibration procedures and ensure safety/governmental compliance.
• Collaborate with System Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, Calibrators, and Scrum teams to ensure robust design.
• Design and manage interfaces for component reuse and standard methodologies; mentor team members.
• Verify performance through unit, SIL, HIL, and vehicle testing; analyze data to verify performance.
