Cindavi in Ashton, IL seeks a Controls Engineer to support automation systems across our manufacturing operations. Hybrid role with two days onsite per week, remainder remote, starting salary of $70,000–$100,000 with up to 20% bonus.

You will work with diverse PLC platforms, diagnose equipment issues, and implement controls improvements to boost reliability and production efficiency. Background in electrical/mechanical engineering is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial controls or automation.
• Hands-on PLC programming across multiple platforms.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
• Electrical or mechanical engineering background preferred but not required.
• Experience in food/beverage/pharma manufacturing valuable; Rockwell Academy training a plus.

Responsabilités

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC-based control systems across platforms.
• Diagnose equipment issues using blueprints and schematics; implement solutions.
• Design and implement automation improvements and coordinate fabrication or installation work.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency.
