Job summary

Cindavi in Ashton, IL is seeking a Controls Engineer to support and improve automation on the manufacturing floor. You will program PLCs, troubleshoot equipment, read schematics, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to deliver reliable controls solutions.

This hybrid role requires two days onsite per week; remote work is allowed for the rest. The position offers base salary, up to 20% annual bonus, tuition assistance, and strong opportunities for hands-on impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or related field.
• Hands-on experience programming PLC logic across multiple platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and practical understanding of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC-based control systems across multiple platforms.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment issues and interpret blueprints to improve performance.
• Design and implement automation improvements, modify equipment controls and coordinate installation work.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical challenges and support new lines.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
