Job summary

Homewise Inc. is seeking a Finance Director to oversee accounting, treasury, payroll, and financial reporting. The role requires strategic leadership, strong GAAP knowledge, and collaboration with the CFO and executive team.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule with alternating offices in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and travel as needed. Ideal candidates will have a CPA, 5+ years in financial analysis, experience with Sage Intacct, and a background in non-profit finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or related field.
• 5+ years of financial/accounting analysis experience in a financial institution.
• Active CPA designation preferred.
• Non-profit experience preferred.
• Sage Intacct experience preferred.
• Master’s Degree/MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting key data.
• Leads external audit process and tax return preparation with Auditor.
• Maintains accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensures timely bank reconciliations and debt payments.
• Manages and analyzes budgets, profitability, cash flow and capital needs.
• Collaborates with CFO, Finance Director, and executives to support decision making.
• Supports grant data collection and reporting for compliance.
