Job summary

Cuningham in Las Vegas is seeking a Controller to lead corporate accounting across our multi-office practice. You will oversee GAAP reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and month-end close, reporting to the CEO and guiding a skilled team.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in corporate accounting, CPA/CMA preferred, and experience with Deltek Vantagepoint; strong Excel/Power BI skills and a proven change-agent mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting; MBA preferred
• CPA or CMA preferred
• 10+ years of corporate accounting and finance experience, with 2+ years managing a team
• Experience within the AEC industry highly desired
• Strong technology, analytics, and management experience
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience required; Power BI preferred
• Great attention to detail and excellent oral/written communication skills
• Self-starter with strong ethical standards
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring GAAP compliance
• Evaluate internal control systems to meet goals and create efficiencies
• Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures
• Coordinate external audit activity
• Prepare internal and external financial statements
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process
• Oversee regulatory reporting and tax planning
• Analyze financial data and present timely statements
• Assist with annual budgeting and planning
• Support CEO in financial operating models
• Manage cash flow forecasting
• Lead and train the finance team
• Strengthen internal communications across the organization
