Job summary

Scale Microgrids is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to lead customer-facing negotiations, structure agreements, and oversee full contracting life cycles. You will coordinate with business development and project management to ensure timely execution and ongoing compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong deal-structuring instincts and attention to risk allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Legal training or paralegal/JD background is a plus but primary orientation is commercial.
• Experience negotiating customer-facing deals and managing projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations based on playbooks and structure deal terms.
• Manage end-to-end contracting process from structuring to signature and post-execution administration.
• Maintain standard form agreements and improve templates with feedback.
• Support commercialization and standardization of new products.
• Prepare standard and customized agreements for customers, partners, and vendors.
• Analyze third-party papers against standard commercial positions to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with legal counsel or management as needed.
• Understand project cost models and deal economics for scope and risk allocation.
• Manage contracts database and track budgets, deadlines, and renewals.
• Clear conditions to obligations with project management and BD teams.
