Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a driven accounting professional for construction project accounting in a hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ (opportunities in Los Angeles, CA as well). You will support complex projects, prepare financial reports, and ensure revenue recognition accuracy under GAAP.

The role requires 2 years of accounting experience in construction and strong Excel skills; CMiC or Textura experience is preferred. This position offers hybrid work arrangements and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Finance or relevant field with 2 years accounting experience or equivalent.
• Construction project accounting experience.
• GAAP knowledge and construction accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; CMiC or Textura experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports moderately complex project(s), working under general supervision.
• Prepares financial reports and provides analysis and recommendations based on findings.
• Requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner; maintains records per GAAP.
• Performs audits and generates special financial reports.
• Reviews projects for revenue recognition and provides project analysis and recommendations based on findings.
• Matrixed environment; reports to local Project Executive and Regional Controller.
