Job summary

Freese and Nichols in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee water and facilities infrastructure projects, administering contracts and ensuring work complies with approved plans and specifications. You will observe construction, sample materials, measure quantities, and report progress.

You will lead change orders, schedules, submittals, RFIs, claims and pay requests while coordinating with design teams, clients and contractors to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of construction field experience as a representative or inspector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Administer the construction contract by managing, observing, and reporting on ongoing construction.
• Inspect construction work for compliance with plans and specifications and review contractor's work.
• Lead change/field orders, schedules, submittals, RFIs, claims, pay requests, and meetings.
• Coordinate with design teams and owner to address RFIs and construction issues.
