Placements24 is seeking a Construction Estimator in Randburg, a hybrid role balancing on-site and remote work. You will analyze blueprints and proposals to prepare detailed cost estimates, quantify materials, labor, and equipment, and collaborate with project managers to refine bids.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ experience, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of estimating software. Hybrid work and growth opportunities are offered.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing structures.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with high accuracy.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities for hybrid work.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for each project, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals and tender documents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to refine estimates and provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor information.
