Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a Computer Vision Software Engineering Intern for a summer program in Columbus, IN. You’ll work with the Advanced Research & Development team on computer vision algorithms, deep learning training and inference, and software design.

You’ll contribute to proof-of-concept modules, document test plans, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and software teams while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to leadership.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in CS/EE/Robotics/Mechatronics or related field.
• Excellent C++ and Python programming skills.
• Knowledge of TensorFlow or similar ML platforms.
• Experience developing image processing with OpenCV.
• Fluency with Linux development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for recognition and identification using computer vision.
• Create proof-of-concept modules and validation systems.
• Maintain schedules and communicate status to management.
• Create and update technical docs, test plans, and results.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.
