Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Components Standards, Engineer 2 in Pomona, CA. You will develop and update design and construction standards for transmission, distribution, and substation systems, supporting safety, reliability, and climate resilience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field preferred.
Two or more years engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
Valid Class C Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections and evaluations of existing electrical equipment and systems for proper installation, troubleshooting and overall improvements.
Ensures system event assessments and RCA are performed for equipment failures with corrective actions and mitigation plans.
Prepares technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and design plans related to projects and analyses of increasing scope.
Performs independent engineering work with guidance on techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Performs power system modeling and analyses using software tools and stays informed of technology advancements and standards.
