Job summary

Southern California Edison in Pomona, CA seeks a Substation Project Development Engineer 3 to support substation projects from pre-scoping through lifecycle execution. You will coordinate technical analyses for distribution, subtransmission, and transmission systems, lead both full-time and contract staff, and drive cost-effective, safe project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Five or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Supervise, lead, and coordinate work with full-time and contract employees.
• Conduct life cycle assessments for utility infrastructure materials and processes; improve preventive maintenance procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure safety and reliability.
• Support audits and inspections; ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Provide engineering guidance for high-impact, cross-functional problems in engineering.
• Maintain design basis documentation and conduct studies with full technical responsibility.
• Provide training to junior engineering levels.
