Job summary

Public Health Solutions, Inc. seeks a Community Action Coordinator to lead the Queens Healthy Start Community Consortium, develop partnerships, and analyze data to address disparities in birth outcomes.

You will organize multi-stakeholder meetings, recruit residents, and coordinate trainings while representing QHS at events and with officials. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and driving a shared agenda for community health equity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in community organizing, strategic planning, and cross-sector partnerships.
• Willingness to travel across South Queens.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate bi-monthly QATF meetings, virtually or in person.
• Coordinate bi-monthly executive team meetings with QATF members.
• Outreach to community partners to build a cross-sector Consortium.
• Recruit and retain community residents to participate in the Consortium.
• Coordinate training for members in data analysis, RMC, and asset mapping.
• Guide QATF in selecting a common agenda and shared measures.
• Represent QHS and QATF at outreach events and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage QHS social media content and engagement.
• Develop QATF monthly newsletters and awareness campaigns.
• Plan large-scale events: awareness events, focus groups, town halls.
• Collaborate with Evaluation team on evaluation activities.
• Represent Queens Healthy Start with elected officials.
• Draft reports on grant activities and outcomes.
• Handle other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
