Job summary

Reading Partners is seeking a Community Engagement Manager (CEM) for North Texas (Dallas area) to lead a team of AmeriCorps Volunteers in recruiting, onboarding, engaging, and retaining tutors. The role reports to the Regional Executive Director and collaborates with national leadership on strategy, partnerships, and events.

The CEM will develop recruitment strategies, manage partnerships, supervise onboarding, and ensure high volunteer retention.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in customer service, marketing, client management, operations, or community organizing.
• Direct management experience of volunteers, interns, or emerging professionals.
• Experience with Google Apps and Salesforce preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel within North Texas.
• Hybrid role with in-person reporting to the North Texas office 1-4 times per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional volunteer recruitment efforts to meet tutor and student goals.
• Develop recruitment strategy with partnerships, campaigns, and events.
• Supervise a calendar of regional recruitment events and onboarding processes.
• Maintain data quality and conduct regular data audits.
• Drive volunteer engagement and retention year over year and monitor satisfaction metrics.
• Manage AmeriCorps Volunteers toward regional impact goals.
• Travel within North Texas to support programs and staffing.
