Qualifications

• 5+ years in a specific commodity; 8–12 years preferred.
• Mandatory SAP experience and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
• Background in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Knowledge of logistics.
• Able to perform a technical/product quality review.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analytics, supplier negotiations, surcharge management, reporting, and payment resolutions.
• Analyze external price trends and new products to reduce purchasing costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to assure product quality.
• Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
• Coordinate cost-reduction efforts for purchasing/engineering.
• Participate in design and/or technical reviews.
• Select and manage relationships with major suppliers and subcontractors.
• Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
