Job summary

Vantage Elevation, LLC is seeking a Commodity Manager to join our Supply Chain team in Sacramento, CA. You will lead global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, define supplier performance metrics, and drive cost reductions while collaborating with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in manufacturing sourcing, with strong Excel skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of sourcing and supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of commodity market conditions including pricing, technology, and supply/demand trends.

Responsibilities

• Drive overall category performance by developing and executing global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Define and manage supplier strategy and performance, including annual PPV/cost reduction goals and supplier KPIs.
• Lead supplier negotiations, RFQs, and contract execution activities.
• Utilize cost modeling, supplier leverage, and market analysis to achieve best total cost outcomes.
• Partner with suppliers to improve on-time delivery and quality performance metrics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Operations, and Procurement teams.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives within the Supply Chain organization.
• Present sourcing strategies and supplier performance updates to senior leadership.
• Lead medium-sized projects or contribute to larger strategic supply chain initiatives.
• Work closely with the team based in Sacramento and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple Vantage business units.
