Job summary

The Magnolia Law Group PLLC in The Woodlands, Texas seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney to manage a full-time caseload of business disputes in a hybrid work environment with some work-from-home flexibility.

You will draft pleadings, conduct legal research, represent clients in court, oversee depositions, coordinate discovery, and work with firm leadership on strategy, negotiations, and efficient client service.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in commercial and business law, including contract disputes and related litigation.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy, with solid research and writing skills.
• Experience before state courts (and federal preferred), including hearings, conferences, and appearances.
• Trial experience from pretrial preparation to post-trial motions.
• Depositions, discovery management, and effective witness examination.
• Active Texas license to practice law in good standing.
• 8+ years of commercial litigation experience with case management responsibility.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication, with attention to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment with a small team.
• Strong professional judgment and ethical standards, focused on clear, practical guidance to business clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full-time caseload of business disputes and related commercial matters.
• Draft pleadings and motions, conduct legal research, and prepare case strategies.
• Represent clients in court, hearings, and trials; conduct and defend depositions; coordinate discovery.
• Communicate regularly with clients about case status and options.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy, support settlement negotiations, and maintain efficient, client-centered processes.
