Job summary

First American is seeking a Commercial Escrow Assistant to support our fast-paced commercial real estate team in Chicago. You will assist in the escrow process for simple and complex transactions, prepare closing documents, input statements, and handle disbursements, while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role is hybrid, requiring three days in office per week. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of escrow experience, strong time management, and excellent verbal and written

Qualifications

• 1–3 years escrow-related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong prioritization and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Detail oriented, organized and proactive in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the escrow process for simple and complex commercial transactions; prepare closing documents, input closing statement information, and handle disbursement and follow-up.
• Communicate regularly with customers during the escrow process; adapt communication style as needed.
• Interpret various agreements as they relate to escrow closings.
• Work with innovative technologies to enable escrow transactions and deliver a phenomenal customer experience.
