Job summary

Suncoast Credit Union is seeking an experienced Commercial/ SBA Lending underwriter to assess larger loans and related facilities. The role focuses on underwriting, financial analysis, and loan package preparation for review by Credit Committee.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in commercial lending, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. Hybrid work arrangements and a comprehensive benefits program are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial or business lending experience in a financial institution.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial and small business loan requests greater than $250,000 with low to moderate complexity.
• Prepare CAM recommendations for decision makers/credit committee.
• Review financial documents and credit reports to assess borrower creditworthiness.
• Analyze liquidity, management quality, market position and profitability for loan decisions.
• Prepare loan package and coordinate with SBA processor when applicable.
• Monitor assigned commercial loans and ensure compliance with policies and covenants.
• Maintain ongoing communication with loan officers and members about transaction status.
