Job summary

Symphony Risk is seeking a Claims Associate to join our commercial claims team in a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX. You will work across our health care, aerospace, cannabis and other portfolios to manage first-party and third-party claims and help clients mitigate risk.

You will handle coverage assessments, coordinate with clients, insurers and brokers, and support senior leadership with data-driven claims reporting. Strong communication, multitasking and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance with claims handling for brokers or insurers.
• Strong knowledge of policies, terms, claims and processes.
• Understanding of commercial litigation related to insurance.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Independent, multitasking and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all facets of a client’s insurance claim to minimize disruption.
• Report first-party and third-party claims to insurers as appropriate.
• Confirm coverage and defense counsel appointments during claims.
• Advocate for the client throughout the claims process and resolve disputes with insurers.
• Communicate with clients and insurers; prepare responses and correspondence.
• Monitor claims status and update clients; participate in meetings.
• Serve as a resource for clients and colleagues on claims-related questions.
• Review policies and advise on coverage at claims, placement or renewal.
• Assist senior leadership with policy development and ad-hoc tasks.
• Maintain organized claims files and data; participate in renewal meetings.
• Stay updated on insurance- and claims-related developments.
