Job summary

ManTech seeks a motivated Combat Systems Engineer to join our team at the Washington D.C. Navy Yard.

This hybrid role requires three days onsite per week and focuses on modernization and maintenance of in-service AEGIS software baselines. The engineer will develop software baselines, provide SME support for Aegis baselines 5 and 9, assist the IPL for I&T (test, cert meetings, CSSQT), and mentor team members across levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Experience briefing senior leadership on technical topics.
• Experience with Navy combat systems and DoD policies.

Responsibilities

• Developing software baselines including requirements definition, systems engineering, test and evaluation, defect correction.
• Providing SME support for Aegis SW baselines and infrastructure maintenance.
• Supporting I&T activities with cert meetings, flight tests, CSSQT, and mentoring team members.
