Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an Application Developer with IBM Mainframe zOS expertise to design, code, test, and maintain COBOL-based programs in a zOS environment. You will work in a Client Innovation Center, collaborating with teams to deliver reliable, scalable mainframe solutions for diverse clients.

Required education is Bachelor's Degree. Proficiency in COBOL, zOS skills, DB2/IMS-DB, CICS/IMS-DC, and French language capability are essential.

Qualifications

Core zOS skills including VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF enable effective development and support.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as COBOL, PL/1, or Assembler for application design and implementation.
Experience with DB2 or IMS-DB to support database-backed applications.
Exposure to transaction processing with CICS or IMS-DC for reliable solution delivery.
Ability to apply technical expertise to resolve issues and improve performance in zOS environments.
French language capability is mandatory; English is a plus.
