Responsibilities

• Provide L2 administration and operational support for hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises datacenters and Microsoft Azure.
• Support Microsoft Azure services including VMs, Storage, VNets, Backup, Monitoring, and identity platforms.
• Monitor Azure health, utilization, availability, and performance; assist with provisioning and maintenance.
• Administer Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments including provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Support Active Directory domains, DNS, DHCP, and group policy; hybrid identity with Entra ID.
• Perform user administration, access management, and authentication troubleshooting.
• Provide L2 administration for Veeam Backup & Replication including backup monitoring and recovery.
• Provide hands-on administration for Cohesity DataProtect including policies and recovery operations.
• Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery readiness activities for enterprise workloads.
• Support VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
• Assist with SSL/TLS certificate management and renewal processes.
• Participate in incident resolution, RCAs, and change implementations.
• Identify opportunities for automation via PowerShell; create SOPs and runbooks.

Role Summary

Hybrid Cloud, Wintel & Backup Engineer responsible for providing L2 operational support across Microsoft Azure, Windows Infrastructure, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, Veeam Backup & Replication, and Cohesity DataProtect environments. The role focuses on infrastructure administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery operations, patch management, identity management, and service reliability across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. The position combines strong operational expertise, customer support, infrastructure governance, and continuous improvement within a cloud‑first enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 administration and operational support for hybrid infrastructure environments spanning on‑premises datacenters and Microsoft Azure.
• Support Microsoft Azure services including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Backup, Monitoring, Recovery Services, and identity platforms.
• Monitor Azure infrastructure health, utilization, availability, and performance while supporting resource provisioning and operational maintenance activities.
• Administer Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Support Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and hybrid identity integration with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Perform user administration, access management, authentication troubleshooting, and identity‑related support activities.
• Provide L2 administration and operational support for Veeam Backup & Replication environments including backup monitoring, replication management, recovery validation, and operational troubleshooting.
• Provide hands‑on administration and operational support for Cohesity DataProtect environments including protection policies, backup monitoring, cluster health checks, and recovery operations.
• Execute backup, restore, recovery validation, and disaster recovery readiness activities for enterprise workloads.
• Support VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
• Support SSL/TLS certificate installation, renewal, lifecycle tracking, and compliance activities.
• Participate in incident resolution, major incident bridges, root cause analysis, and change implementation activities.
• Identify opportunities for automation through PowerShell scripting and operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles, and technical documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 8-12 years of experience supporting enterprise Azure, Windows Infrastructure, Active Directory, VMware, Veeam, and Cohesity environments. Strong hands‑on expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication administration, Cohesity backup operations, Windows Server administration, Active Directory services, Azure infrastructure support, backup and recovery operations, and hybrid cloud environments. Experience in incident management, operational troubleshooting, patch management, backup validation, and infrastructure support is essential.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
