Job summary

TEKsystems' client, a large, growing company headquartered in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

The role covers Windows and Linux server administration, Entra Active Directory support, security analytics with Defender, threat hunting, and vulnerability scanning. Proficiency in Azure/AWS DevOps, scripting, and AI tools is desired. Hybrid work in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Responsibilities include managing both Windows and Linux server environments and Entra Active Directory administration.
• Security analytics duties covering Microsoft Defender, threat hunting, vulnerability scanning, and KQL rules.
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Copilot) and Cloud DevOps (Azure, AWS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server and Linux Server administration.
• Provide Entra Active Directory support and administration.
• Perform information security analysis including Defender, threat hunting, vulnerability scanning, KQL and customer detection rules.
• Leverage AI tools and Cloud DevOps practices (Azure, AWS) as part of daily duties.
