Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract to support a Microsoft-centric environment and drive the migration from on-prem to Azure. You will work on ~50% project work and ~50% operational support, including escalated infrastructure tasks.

The role requires strong Windows Server Administration, AD, PowerShell, Azure, and M365 skills, with emphasis on troubleshooting and networking fundamentals. Hybrid schedule in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to independently resolve unfamiliar issues.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments preferred.
• Experience with VMware, Intune, and Zscaler is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Exchange.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Assist with Azure cloud migration initiatives and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Manage endpoint technologies including Intune and security platforms.
• Support LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure and application issues.
• Support Ubiquiti/UniFi network infrastructure.
• Assist with Zscaler administration and security initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization and scalability projects.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex support issues.
