Job summary

ECHO Incorporated is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to design, implement, secure, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Hybrid role at Lake Zurich facility, collaborating with IT Infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to migrate workloads, optimize performance, and ensure resiliency across Azure, AWS, VMware, and container platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise cloud and infrastructure experience.
• Hybrid Azure/on-premises environment experience.
• Strong scripting/automation skills and ability to document procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and secure scalable cloud solutions across Azure and AWS.
• Lead migration of on-prem workloads to cloud and plan hybrid architectures.
• Architect and optimize hybrid-cloud connectivity and performance.
• Analyze cloud costs and optimize utilization.
• Establish cloud engineering standards, governance, security controls, and IAM.
• Develop IaC and automation tooling for repeatable deployments.
• Document architectures and runbooks for knowledge continuity.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized workloads with AKS and EKS.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity for security best practices.
