Job summary

ECHO Incorporated is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to design, implement, secure, and support a hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The role emphasizes Microsoft Azure while sustaining VMware, storage, and Windows Server environments.

The candidate will work with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to migrate workloads to the cloud, ensure resiliency, and optimize performance and costs across Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, or a related technology environment.
• Experience in a hybrid Microsoft Azure / on-premises enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
• Strong Windows Server administration and enterprise infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience with enterprise storage technologies including SAN/NAS and cloud storage.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Experience with identity and access management concepts (Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA).
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting/automation technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with technical teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Lead migration of on-prem workloads to Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Architect and optimize hybrid-cloud environments with reliable connectivity and performance.
• Analyze cloud performance, availability, cost, and optimize accordingly.
• Develop and maintain IaC and automation tooling for repeatable deployments.
• Document cloud architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, Docker).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to align cloud and on-premise systems to security standards.
