Job summary

CGI Federal is seeking a Mid Level Software Developer to join a high performing Agile team in Fairfax, VA. You will design and build modern, service-based web applications for a large government agency, leveraging Angular and Java/Spring Boot in a cloud native environment.

The role offers hybrid work from our Fairfax office with opportunities to grow leadership and technical skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern coding languages (HTML, Angular, Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of design patterns and microservice architecture.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs in a microservices environment.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile team to design, develop and deploy microservices on AWS.
• Contribute to frontend and backend implementations using Angular and Java/Spring Boot.
• Write clean, well-documented code and perform reviews.
• Develop and test RESTful APIs and integrate with databases (PostgreSQL).
• Participate in CI/CD, automation, and cloud deployment.
