Job summary

BankUnited is seeking a Technology Security Engineering Manager to lead cloud security initiatives across AWS, Azure, GCP, SaaS, and hybrid environments. You will design, implement, and operate security controls, drive remediation, and partner with Architecture, IAM, and Risk teams to reduce enterprise risk while aligning with regulatory requirements.

This hybrid role requires strong leadership, audit readiness, and ability to mentor security professionals, with occasional after-hours support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 4–6 years in cloud security, engineering, and/or administration required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and deploys modular cloud-first security across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
• Develops cloud security policies meeting NIST, FFIEC, GLBA, PCI-DSS requirements.
• Leads cloud security strategy across AWS, Azure, GCP, SaaS, and hybrid tech environments.
• Manages cloud vulnerability remediation and security findings with metrics and SLAs.
• Drives automation to improve security ops, reporting, and remediation workflows.
• Oversee the performance and development of a team of cloud engineers and security professionals.
