Job summary

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield seeks an experienced IT infrastructure professional to drive the vision, strategy, and delivery of distributed cloud platforms and related infrastructure solutions. The role spans PaaS/SaaS/hybrid deployments, focusing on secure, cost-conscious, scalable environments and interaction with legacy systems where needed.

Qualifications

• 7 cumulative years related work experience in lieu of degree.
• Associates degree plus 4 years experience; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Security, compliance, and audit policy awareness.
• Infrastructure operations and project delivery experience.
• Scripting and automation experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud/on-prem integration.
• Proficiency in VMware/Nutanix virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible).
• Knowledge of YAML, JSON, REST API, GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a high level escalation tier for operational support.
• Conducts proof-of-concept testing in a lab environment.
• Creates infrastructure design documents for production deployments.
• Maintains technology standards documentation.
• Deploys new technology to production.
• Designs infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
• Researches and implements hybrid cloud technology.
• Supports enterprise server environment strategy.
• Gathers IT infrastructure requirements from stakeholders.
• Interacts with vendors and SMEs to establish standards.
• Integrates multiple systems and technologies.
• Maintains high attendance and integrity standards.
