Job summary

Nutanix is seeking a Project Manager to lead medium‑risk IT transformation projects, including data center modernization and hybrid cloud migrations. You will partner with customers, consultants and Nutanix teams to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery and measurable business value.

The role requires strong governance, planning and communication skills, plus experience across Agile/Waterfall or hybrid delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience within IT software or professional services
• Proven experience managing customer‑facing infrastructure, cloud, software and IT transformation projects
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices
• Experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and communications
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience leading projects involving organizational change or technology adoption
• Experience collaborating across sales, services, consulting, support, engineering, and partners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Salesforce, NetSuite or similar systems
• PMP certification required

Responsibilities

• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, success criteria and acceptance criteria with stakeholders
• Establish governance and controls appropriate to requirements and complexity
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and documentation
• Coordinate activities across consultants, architects, customer teams, partners and stakeholders
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, forecasts and change requests using PM methodologies
• Identify, communicate and escalate risks, issues and decisions to ensure outcomes
• Monitor progress and drive resolution of obstacles affecting timelines or quality
• Facilitate meetings, steering committees, status reviews and stakeholder communications
• Provide accurate project status reporting to customers and leadership
• Manage customer expectations and align deliverables with business objectives
• Maintain project data and support revenue forecasting in systems of record
• Collaborate with PMO to improve processes, tools and standards
• Partner with sales, consulting and delivery teams during planning, execution and closeout
• Provide pre‑sales support with planning, effort estimation and risk assessments
• Deliver world‑class customer experiences while meeting contractual obligations and quality standards
