Job summary

County of Sonoma is seeking a Cloud and Infrastructure Systems Engineer to maintain hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructure within the Data Center Operations team. You will manage IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments, implement CI/CD, IaC, and automation with Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible, and support Windows/Linux servers and PKI, security tooling, and data center operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud environments across major cloud platforms.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise infrastructure in production environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD and IaC, with automation using scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining hybrid cloud infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
• Applying DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment processes using Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
• Administering and troubleshooting virtualized server environments supporting Windows Server, Linux, and other enterprise operating systems.
• Managing the County's Public Key Infrastructure, including certificate issuance, renewal, lifecycle management, and enterprise certificate services.
• Administering physical server infrastructure, including hardware, host operating systems, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Supporting data center operations, including environmental systems and critical infrastructure.
• Administering enterprise security technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and tools such as Qualys, CrowdStrike, SCCM/MECM, Intune, and Purview.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure, systems, and security issues.
