Velocity Talent currently seeks a Cloud & Infrastructure Systems Administrator for a hybrid role in Washington, DC. The candidate will administer Azure and AWS environments alongside VMware vSphere and Windows Server, while automating infrastructure, strengthening security, resiliency, and disaster recovery.

The role supports modern DevOps, AIOps, and AI-enabled infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on scalable, secure operations and proactive incident response across on-site and cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years enterprise systems administration experience.
• Proficiency with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments.
• Scripting in PowerShell or Python; IaC using Terraform; container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Administer Azure and AWS environments; manage VMware vSphere and Windows Server.
• Automate infrastructure and operations; implement DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
• Strengthen security, resiliency, and disaster recovery; support AIOps and AI-enabled infrastructure initiatives.
