Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Cloud and Infrastructure Systems Administrator in Washington, DC to manage and optimize a hybrid cloud environment.

You will design, deploy, and maintain servers and virtual environments, while driving automation and reliability across Azure, AWS, and on‑premises infrastructure. The role emphasizes IaC, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and modern security practices in a DevSecOps context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on systems administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Proven cloud platform experience (Azure and/or AWS).
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell and/or Python).
• IaC with Terraform is required.
• VMware vSphere experience.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Familiarity with AIOps concepts and predictive monitoring.
• Knowledge of Office 365, Power Platform, Intune, MECM/SCCM is a plus.
• Foundational ML concepts and AI in IT infrastructure context.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Azure and AWS environments (cloud and on-prem).
• Develop automation scripts to provision infrastructure and ensure config consistency.
• Leverage AI-powered monitoring (Splunk, Azure Monitor) for proactive issue detection.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
• Enforce security policies across platforms and manage IAM via Azure AD.
• Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Administer VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments.
• Collaborate in a DevOps/DevSecOps culture to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with data science teams to explore ML for infra optimization.
