Job summary

The Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) is seeking an hands-on Infrastructure Administrator to maintain and secure the Agency’s data center and hybrid cloud environment, including Azure and Microsoft 365.

The role requires 3+ years of distributed infrastructure experience, willingness to travel within Massachusetts up to 30%, and participation in on‑call weekend coverage. Workplace is in Boston with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or related field with 3+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience administering distributed infrastructure, data center systems, and servers.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments (on‑premises and cloud).
• Experience collaborating with vendors and MSPs; reliable home internet for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, data center systems, and hybrid cloud infra.
• Administer and troubleshoot Azure and Microsoft 365 services and configurations.
• Operate and maintain automated end‑user management and data center tools.
• Monitor infrastructure health, uptime, and perform routine maintenance and patching.
• Maintain enterprise email and EDR applications; ensure security and compliance.
• Document configurations, provide guidance to IT staff, and assist with training.
