Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts CPCS is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to maintain and secure the Agency's data center, hybrid cloud, and Azure/Microsoft 365 services. This hands-on role requires monitoring, troubleshooting, and deployment support across on-premises and cloud environments.

The position involves travel up to 30% and participating in on-call rotations, with regular collaboration across IT teams to deliver reliable, secure infrastructure for public defense services.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting and implementing technology in a mid-size organization.
• 3+ years hands-on experience administering distributed infrastructure and data center systems.
• Valid driver's license with travel up to 30%.
• Reliable home internet to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain servers and data center systems.
• Administer Azure and Microsoft 365 services and configurations.
• Operate and maintain automated end-user and data center tools.
• Monitor infrastructure health, uptime, and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain enterprise email and EDR applications.
• Maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Resolve escalated issues and train staff on infrastructure tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
