Job summary

SherlockTalent in Miami seeks a Mid-Level Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to own and automate its AWS environment while maintaining Linux fundamentals. This hands-on role requires 3–4 on-site days per week at Brickell Key with occasional remote work.

Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible; administer Linux systems and support on-site networking. Strong networking, scripting (Python/Bash), and proven automation experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience beyond certifications.
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible in production environments.
• Strong Linux administration background with practical troubleshooting.
• Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, DNS, firewalls).
• Ability to troubleshoot across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Career progression showing systems/Linux and cloud/DevOps dual depth.
• Willingness to work on-site regularly in Miami (Brickell Key metro).

Responsibilities

• Cloud infrastructure & automation (~70%): Design, build, and maintain AWS infra using IaC; own provisioning, scaling, and automation.
• Linux & infra operations (~25%): Administer and harden Linux systems; patching and support core services.
• Local IT & networking (~5%): On-site support for infrastructure needs when required.
