Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Cloud Firewall Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of a cloud-delivered firewall platform built on microservices. You will design and execute tests across UI, API, integration, and system levels, with a strong focus on automation using Playwright with Python.

You will work in a hybrid role, collaborating with engineers and product owners to improve testability, coverage, and release readiness.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years in QA/Test Engineering, SDET, or Software Engineering with strong testing focus.
• Strong hands-on Python for automation beyond scripting.
• Hands-on Playwright for UI automation with maintainable patterns and stable locators.
• Experience testing web APIs (REST) and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end and API test suites using Playwright with Python.
• Validate cloud firewall capabilities: policy management, rule behavior, logging/telemetry, authentication flows.
• Build layered coverage across microservices with service-level API tests and key end-to-end flows.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines with parallel runs, reporting, and artifacts.
