Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking an Enterprise Cloud FinOps Lead to own the implementation and ongoing improvement of cloud financial operations. The role focuses on tooling, automation, and governance to manage cloud spend at scale in a hybrid work environment.

You will collaborate with finance, engineering, cloud operations, cybersecurity, and leadership to deliver robust cloud financial management, reporting, forecasting, and allocation capabilities while driving cost

Qualifications

• DOE security clearance required.
• Experience building automated FinOps tooling.
• Strong scripting, API, and data pipeline skills.
• Knowledge of cloud cost models, allocation, forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Cloud FinOps implementation with tooling, automation, governance, and operating models.
• Partner with finance, engineering, cloud operations, and leadership to deliver cloud financial management solutions.
• Translate business needs into architectures, data models, workflows, and scalable designs.
• Build cloud financial reporting, dashboards, forecasting, and allocation models.
• Analyze billing data and usage telemetry to improve cost efficiency and visibility.
• Advise on cost optimization, chargeback, and governance controls.
• Lead large-scale enterprise initiatives involving integrated tools and automation frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for Cloud FinOps capabilities.
