Job summary

Lincoln Financial is seeking an ETL Developer within the RetailIQ team to design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines in a cloud environment using Python and AWS Glue, integrating Oracle and PostgreSQL data. The role supports batch and near real-time ingestion, APIs, and data workflows within established SDLC practices.

You will collaborate with analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions, learn AWS data services, and contribute to continuous improvement in data integration projects.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in application development or ETL/data engineering roles.
• 1–3+ years of experience with data warehouses, ODMS, or data marts.
• Hands-on experience with Python or another OO language (Java/.NET).
• Working knowledge of relational databases and data integrity concepts.
• Basic to intermediate data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Familiarity with SQL and databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with consuming APIs (REST/JSON) for data integration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in analysis, design, and ETL development as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
• Assist in data mapping and modeling (normalized, star, snowflake) to support quality and integrity.
• Perform SDLC tasks including analysis, requirements, development, testing, and support.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS services like Glue, S3, and Redshift.
• Integrate data from external/internal systems using RESTful APIs and API-based ingestion/delivery.
• Collaborate with team to deliver data solutions and support enhancements.
• Stay informed about tools and best practices in data engineering and apply them.
• Support process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
