Job summary

Capgemini Government Solutions seeks a DevOps/API Developer to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and secure RESTful APIs across on-prem and gov cloud (AWS/Azure). You will bridge development and IT operations to automate workflows, ensure reliability, and accelerate delivery for government clients.

You must hold an active Secret clearance and a BS in a technical field, with 3–5 years of experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required (U.S. citizenship).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related technical field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience.
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE or higher DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., CYSA+, GSEC, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines across local servers and cloud environments.
• Design, build, document, and maintain secure RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services.
• Manage networking, API routing, and data synchronization between on-prem storage and cloud-native services.
• Leverage site-reliability practices for continuous delivery and high-availability.
• Embed security scanning, OAuth 2.0/SAML/api key authentication, and rate-limiting into the dev lifecycle.
• Drive automation by replacing manual workflows with scalable solutions.
• Communicate effectively to bridge engineering and business objectives.
• Lead during outages and incidents with clear, calm leadership.
