Job summary

Merck offers a Future Talent Program internship in our Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) team, spanning up to 12 weeks. You will engage with stakeholders to identify and validate resource demand for clinical trials and develop data processes and dashboards using Python, SQL, or PowerBI.

The role emphasizes learning, capstone presentation, and exposure to drug development in a global context. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a BS/BA program and can commit full-time for 12 weeks starting

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a full-time BS/BA degree program in business, computing, math, or science.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, or PowerBI is a plus.
• Available to work full-time for up to 12 weeks starting May/June 2027 and completed at least 2 years of collegiate study by June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource forecasting and analytics support for selected functional stakeholders.
• Use Python, SQL or PowerBI to create new data processes, views, or dashboards.
• Develop tools to support resource forecasting, visualization and/or process automation.
• Provide support for development of algorithmic demand models.
• Generate process maps and/or performance metrics.
• Assist organizational efforts to simplify and standardize global process.
• Develop effective communications.
• Receive exposure to the field of clinical research and drug development with direct activities supporting global clinical trial operations.
• Deliver a capstone presentation illustrating internship objectives and activities.
