Job summary

Merck in Rahway, New Jersey is offering a 12-week Future Talent Program internship within Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) focusing on resource forecasting activities.

The intern will work with stakeholders, use Python/SQL/PowerBI to build data processes and dashboards, and contribute to algorithmic demand models.

This internship provides exposure to clinical research and drug development with a capstone presentation at the end.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA degree program in business, computer technology, mathematics or science.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, or PowerBI is a plus.
• Available to work full-time for up to 12 weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
• Completed at least 2 years of collegiate study by June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource forecasting and analytics support for selected functional stakeholders
• Use Python, SQL or PowerBI to create new data processes, views, or dashboards
• Develop tools to support resource forecasting, visualization and/or process automation
• Provide support for development of algorithmic demand models
• Generate process maps and/or performance metrics
• Assist organizational efforts to simplify and standardize global process
• Develop effective communications
• Receive exposure to the field of clinical research and drug development with direct activities supporting global clinical trial operations
• Deliver a capstone presentation illustrating internship objectives and activities
